What Is Clearance Testing?

When doing a mold remediation project a homeowner has the option of having an air test performed. An air test is something that helps determine the severity of mold damage that is found inside a home. A certified Industrial Hygienist will come out to the property and take samples of the air in the affected areas of the home. They will then compare those samples to an unaffected area to determine if there are elevated levels inside a house. Those test results get sent to a lab for review and that’s how we make a determination if there is a problem and if the problem has been remediated. Be skeptical of companies that want to do their own air testing because that can be a conflict of interest. As a homeowner you have the authority to choose who does that air test for you.
